Poison Promise

I am pleased to announce that book three, "Poison Promise," is security reviewed, edited, smooth and ready to go to the press. Poison Promise is a standalone sequel to Violent Peace and picks up with "Pat" Patterson in the brain trauma unit at Johns Hopkins University Hospital recovering from blast trauma. Boucher is by his side. I experimented with the format in this book by having Boucher telling his comatose friend what he's been up to. As Jake tells the story I transition the reader into a real time description of the events as they unfold. This story reveals an elaborate conspiracy that involves the highest levels of our government, piracy, Navy SEALs (Lt. Morgan makes another appearance) operating in Afghanistan, Boucher attempts to prevent a terrorist attack on New York City, and complicity between al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula and Venezuela in a drugs for arms relationship. There is a new very strong leading lady for whom Boucher has interest and a new SEAL character who goes by the nickname of "Two Dogs." The story involves a cruise ship, liquefied natural gas super tanker, V-22's, Special Operations helicopters, drug running mini-subs, guns, guts, laughter and tears. The evil mercenary, Rajakovics is still Jake's arch enemy and both good and evil characters die. It all comes together at the end with the realization that US policy is being manipulated by several competing forces outside the US and of course, I set you up for book 4. Stay tuned and keep your eyes open for Poison Promise - soon to be in print. Paul |

Update
I want to thank my readers for the outstanding feedback you have been giving me on my first two novels. I deeply appreciate it and it motivates me to keep writing. Some of you have asked me if I have considered a movie. The answer is yes, but who knows. My stories will need to be discovered by Hollywood first, then a screenplay and a producer will be necessary. It's a long road to travel. Right now I am focusing my energy on writing books. Speaking of writing books, I have been hard at work writing my 3rd novel which is a sequel to Violent Peace. I hope to have it published and available late spring, 2010. I have 2 more in the Boucher series planned for a total of five. At that point I will evaluate my popularity and either continue writing or find a new passion (like more mountain stream fly fishing). Please keep your feedback coming. Best regards, paul |

Book 3
I hope you liked Violent Peace. I'm well into my next novel, a sequel to Violent Peace. This story begins where VP ended. The action in book 3 ranges from Afghanistan to Somalia to Venezuela and the States. Jake is knee deep in stopping another terrorist attack on the U.S. Lt. Morgan and his SEALs make another appearance. You'll learn why we're fighting in Afghanistan and how the Taliban, al Qaeda, and Pakistan factor into U.S. strategy. And of course, there are several wildcards that contribute either negatively or positively to the outcome. There are some new characters who I think you'll enjoy. Please stay tuned. I'll reveal more real soon. Best regards, paul |

VIOLENT PEACE - OUT NOW
Violent Peace is now available in both hard and soft cover first edition. You can purchase it directly from this site or from any major book retailer. I would appreciate your feedback on it. My personal e-mail is paul@paulevancoe.com I'm already over 40,000 words into my next novel, a sequel to Violent Peace. I have that story (I'll keep the title classified until I get it finished) completely written in a Reader's Digest-like short story. All the major scenes are in there as are the major characters. I'm now fleshing out the chapters. My goal is to have the manuscript ready for edit by November with a publishing release in early 2010. Your feedback counts so please keep it coming. Best regards, Paul |

My next book, Violent Peace [sequel to Own the Night] will be available the first week of May. I sincerely hope you like it. I've started my 3rd book in this series of 5 books. It begins where Violent Peace ends. I have completely written the story from beginning to end in a Reader's Digest-like short story format. I am now adding flesh to the bone. I hope to finish it around October for a publishing release early in 2010. Your feedback means a lot to me so please let me know how you like what I'm writing. I personally answer every single e-mail. paul |
